Refront app icon: a hollow clock face with !? inside, split into cyan and pink

Feeds keep you scrolling with rewards you can't predict. Refront turns that same uncertainty into a reason to stop.

An early prototype is in private testing.

It works against the habit, not against you.

Interruptions you can't predict
After a set amount of time (15 minutes by default), Refront starts breaking in with a burst of glitch at random moments, about every three minutes on average. Three different effects rotate so you don't get used to them.
A few seconds of nothing
Each interruption ends with the screen going dark. For a few seconds nothing responds, and the urge to keep tapping has room to fade.
Easy to tighten, slow to loosen
You set the rules yourself. Stricter settings take effect right away, but looser ones wait 24 hours, so you can't switch Refront off in a weak moment.
Measured, not assumed
Refront records how often you leave within 30 seconds of an interruption, so you can see whether it's actually working for you.
